Additional Notes | Six-wheel Thompson non-gangwayed passenger brake. P 1976. Section of one side fallen off: timber frame rotten. Bodywork (see additional photo below) was scrapped 12/10. Plan at that time was to rebuild the underframe as two underframes for two LNWR horse boxes at Embsay. By 08/18: underframe (now under new ownership) currently being used as an accommodation chassis for GER royal saloon no. 8 (qv) while that vehicle's own underframe is restored - see main photo above. After that the plan is for 70687 chassis to be kept intact and used for a future 6 wheeled body restoration. By 07/22: work is now for this underframe to be the permanent chassis for GER 8 (qv). |
