Although the origin of all 27 frames is known, which NIR vehicle got which frame is not. In service on Northern Ireland Railways 21.01.1987-30.03.2012. Moved to Downpatrick 27/28 September 2014 and used in passenger service for the first time 18th October. By 10/19: this 3-car set now currently unserviceable and only used as static buffet; internal rebuild with a buffet counter added (now 44 seats instead of 78) but preserving the original feel of the 450 set. Returned to passenger service 07/01/2023.
