It was available to the public for hire to private groups and families for the payment of a specified number of first class tickets. It was withdrawn from this service in June 1897 and the body transferred to Outwell depot on the Wisbech & Upwell Tramway for use as an office and store by the GER. Out-lasted closure of the tramway in 1966 and was purchased several years later for preservation but in very poor condition during the early 1970s.
