Additional Notes Type B. Body P?, at Casterton until purchased for Northants Steam Railway scheme in 1985 (ex departmental): there until sold 1998. To Southall: then Carnforth by 11/00. Deteriorating whilst in open storage. However, by 07/13 rebuilt and back into main line service in the 'Royal Scotsman' set (replacing 99131 'Victory' - this gave the Royal Scotsman set 100 mph capability). Has been allocated TOPS number 99960 (last used for Gresley TK 23890 on the NYMR). Ownership transferred to the Belmond Group early 2014. 02/15: now in Royal Scotsman Set BT55 based at Carnforth, operationally based at Edinburgh Craigentinny (Summer only). 11/17: set allocation updated from BT55 to EC00 along with winter stabling / maintenance transferred from Carnforth to Arlington Fleet Services Limited at Eastleigh. 2019: arrangements further updated: The Royal Scotsman now based at Assenta Rail, Earnock Sidings / E.G.Steele site, Hamilton. 11/24: reported that air conditioning and new style windows will be fitted during Winter refresh.
