Additional Notes | TZ, or TY? Date approx. Converted to a Camping Carriage by LNER. Body grounded near Filey, East Yorks (date unknown). To Tanfield c1989. Restored 1997 as a semi-open. On chassis of SR PMV 2207 (qv). Tanfield ref 0080. 10/20: funding received from Government's Culture Recovery Fund to enable this vehicle to be overhauled and rebuilt back to its original style with individual passenger compartments and full-width bench seats, which were removed during modifications by LNER in the 1930s. The changes will help to increase the number of socially distanced seats available on Tanfield Railway trains. 12/20: moved to Stanegate Restorations and Replicas at Haltwhistle for this work to be carried out. 05/21: returned to Tanfield Railway on completion of work. |
