Rebuilding of this museum in 1998 resulted in displacement to storage at the IoM Steam Railway workshops at Douglas. One of the only two surviving Cleminson 6-wheelers in the British Isles? 10/12: moved to Southwold Railway as a long-term restoration project, working in partnership with the Isle of Man Railway & Tram Preservation Society, the owner. Following the sale of the premises in Southwold where it was stored (by the site owner, a local builder / contractor), the carriage was moved to Fengate Farm, Weeting, Norfolk (home of the Weeting Steam Rally and Richard Parrott's collection of traction engines and other heritage transport material). The Manx carriage remains a long-term restoration project of the Southwold Railway and it was removed to their Southwold site on 07/01/2019. 03/24: appeal launched by Isle of Man Steam Railway Supporters Association for covered storage on the IoM so that the carriage can be repatriated. | Owner | Three Foot Gauge Society | Rarity | Unique | Historical Importance | Exceptionally Important | Storage | Secure Open | Operating | No | Photo Date | 03/08/2019 | Photo by | Anne Harrild | At Risk | No | Date Record Last Updated | 01/04/2024 |
