Additional Notes Withdrawn from BR service and converted by 06/97 to become the all-new State Car No 5 in The Royal Scotsman train; air-Conditioning equipment removed and replaced with pressure ventilation and ceiling fans; coach also fitted with a fully sound-proofed diesel generator to provide the train with ‘Hotel Power’; two twin-bed cabins provided, along with staff sleeping accommodation. Early 2014: ownership transferred to the Belmond Group. 02/15: now in Royal Scotsman Set BT55 based Carnforth, operationally based at Edinburgh Craigentinny (Summer only). 11/17: now in Set EC00, operationally based at Edinburgh Craigentinny (Summer only), with Winter maintenance by Arlington Fleet Services Limited at Eastleigh Works. 2019: now based at Assenta Rail, Earnock Sidings / E.G.Steele site, Hamilton.
