P 07/04 Great Bromley, near Colchester: to Bolton Abbey 08/04. Underframe present but lacking all metal - separated from body c.2017. By 08/18: body now on underframe from LNER BZ 70687 (qv) as an accommodation chassis - see second additional photo below. By 07/22: work in progress for 70687 underframe to be permanent chassis for this body. No. 8's own wooden chassis (qv) has been moved to Kirkby Stephen East to be restored (with missing items acquired or fabricated from new as it is in excellent condition) for use as permanent underframe for NER 2051 (qv)). By 09/24: restoration complete. |
