Additional Notes | Duke of Sutherland's 4-wheel Clerestory Saloon, used till 1949. P.1950 at New Romney with its 0-4-4T "Dunrobin". 1965 to Fort Steele Museum, British Columbia, Canada. Taken out of use - Mk1 3733 now carries passengers. When seen 07/94 was under cover but in need of TLC (and a good dust!). Repatriated (with "Dunrobin") and to Beamish 05/11. 09/18: restoration to pre-WW1 condition is still actively under way: by 12/18 interior cleaned and conserved and bench seats completed (in a colour sympathetic to the livery of the carriage). By 04/19: restoration complete and back in operational use. |
