Additional Notes | Built with 6-wheel bogies. To Caledonian 1905, rebuilt 1918 with 4-wheel bogies, new BRCW underframe 1927. Inspection Saloon from 1933, new Gresley bogies 1955. End collision damage 1960, rebuilt as Observation Car. W 72, sold to W McAlpine: Resco 1982, Great Scottish and Western Railway for 'Royal Scotsman' formation 1985-1989, then 'Queen of Scots' 1990- and to Carnforth: 1991 to St Leonards: 1997 Clapham: sold to West Coast Railways and again to Carnforth 11/08. Still in use with Queen of Scots (Set CS57) but by 10/12 painted in 'an approximation of Crimson Lake with gold lining'. |
