Additional Notes | From LNER "The Coronation" set. P 1966 by Gresley Society - at Keighley and Worth Valley Railway until 1974. Then to South Eastern Steam Centre, Ashford until 1978, then to Carnforth. BR-re-designed rear end removed. Asbestos in walls and floor removed 11/05. Purchased by Railway Vehicle Preservations 2006: full restoration planned to original design. 12/07: moved to Nemesis Rail at Barrow Hill for full restoration to begin. By 06/12 at Nemesis Rail premises at Burton upon Trent. 01/21: restoration complete - moved to Locomotive Storage Ltd site at Westwood, Margate (part of Hornby works, being planned for a future public railway heritage attraction to be called the One:One Collection).. |
