Additional Notes | P 1981. Full rebuild completed at Bewdley 2007. On Met Camm bogies dated 1951. Private owner had over many years almost completed restoration before his sad death. This vehicle gifted 01/11 by his widow to the SVR Charitable Trust which now owns all nine SVR Gresleys. Final completion in 2016 with a fully operational new kitchen and pantry. Appeared at King’s Cross with N2 0-6-2T 1744 on 5th April 2016 in association with unveiling of statue to Sir Nigel Gresley (see main photo). On SVR now in use as a special service vehicle for private hire. Storage is now normally in Kidderminster Carriage Shed when 7960 is not in operational use. |
