8 carriage bodies (3 Metropolitan - qv; 5 IoW of 1880s?) on sea front making up beach huts. Very little known of these five. Since 2002 all covered in shiplap cladding on the promenade side. 07/26: confirmed still in situ. Signs fixed to some of these state that they are either going to be restored or removed in 2027 subject to Council agreement. |
