| Additional Notes |
P 1973. Main line certified (for Whitby operation). 08/05/17: delivered to Midsomer Norton on a three year loan from North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR). This is historically significant because this is the last remaining Mk 1 carriage in the consist of the last excursion train that ran over the Somerset and Dorset Railway on 6th March 1966 (see also record for BR 3815 - now scrapped - on this database). 02/18: one side has now been repainted in BR Maroon livery, recreating appearance on the above train (see main photo); plan is to complete the repainting by 03/18. 01/26: returned to NYMR from loan at Midsomer Norton. |
