One of earliest surviving Mk 1s, having started as part of the restaurant triple in the 'Royal Wessex' set (along with RK No S80009 and RFO No S9) and then spending the last thirteen years of passenger service as the dining saloon in the 'Night Ferry' set (with special Continental coupling and gangway adaptations at one end). 2018: to Great Central Railway from Departmental service as EMU barrier coach / translator vehicle (QSA) (Set T1) on Comonwealth bogies. 04/19: left GCR. By 08/19: at Nemesis Rail, Burton upon Trent. 08/25: confirmed still in situ. |
