| Additional Notes |
Converted to Ambulance Ward Car c1939, captured 1940 by German forces in France; recaptured 1945. P 1970 Longmoor; Eastleigh 1971-3; Cranmore. National Army Museum 1990: MoDAD storage 1991. By 06/07 body deteriorated further, sheeted over. To Rowsley (Peak Rail) by 09/11, eventual restoration to Ambulance Car conditon is planned (albeit in LMS livery) - will then have two wheelchair-accessible saloons. In meantime, selected non-original parts will be removed for use elsewhere and this coach will be used as interior parts store during restoration of 7991. NOTE - there is some doubt about the number sequence for this vehicle. 05/25: confirmed still in situ. |
