P privately Dartmoor Railway 12/05. With 76818, 76747 and 70508 make up Class 421 4-CIG Unit No. 1399. With 76818 and 76747 to Pontypool Blaenavon 06/08. (70508 remains at Meldon Quarry: sold 01/09 for restoration/conversion to buffet bar). Back to Dartmoor Railway by 02/12. 04/16 still at Meldon Quarry. 09/16: the other 3 vehicles of set 1399 are being stripped of all usable parts prior to scrapping but vehicle 62385 is being retained complete to make up a 4-car Unit 3905 with 76397, 76398 and 70904 (qv). By 05/17: to East Kent Railway in Unit 3905. 02/25: sent for scrapping to Unimetals Recycling (UK), Newport. |
