To IoW 08/27 as cattle wagon - but cattle traffic never really materialised. Open portions of sides planked over 1935 as covered goods wagon, mainly for passengers' luggage in advance. Only surviving LBSC cattle wagon - only surviving wooden-framed cattle wagon? Has had some minor repairs and a repaint and is on display under cover in the Train Story exhibition hall, June 2014. Formally transferred from National Railway Museum's Collection to the Isle of Wight Collection 06/15. 06/26: confirmed still in situ. |
