Additional Notes Grounded in a back garden at 23 Lower Church Road, Gurnard, Isle of Wight from 1919. One internal partition remains. Previously thought to be 4 compartment Metropolitan Railway carriage, later transferred for use on Isle of Wight. 05/25: confirmed still in situ but reported to be disused following death of owner who used it as an artist's studio. 08/25: moved to Isle of Wight Steam Railway, the correct identity having been established. 12/25: items foreign to the carriage being removed and being dried out, prior to covering for future restoration.
