Additional Notes Underwent Departmental conversion to instructional coach in 1962. 29T. P 1991. Under active restoration, notably for exterior panelling and interior structure. Hastings gauge, so will be 'three abreast' seating. By 08/04 external panelling complete, internal gangways being fitted. 07/19: restoration progressing at pace now. 05/22: work continues, glazing on the East side now complete. 06/23: one of bogies from dismantled underframe of SR 4036 (qv) is being overhauled for use in the retoration of this vehicle. 10/23: overhaul of the bogies, including re-bushing most of the brake gear, is nearly completed. 04/25: final checks and adjustments being made prior to entering traffic.
