Additional Notes One of two PMVY vehicles at the above location. They are believed to be 1851 (qv) and 2188 - which is which (and therefore which of the additional photos on the two records is correct) has not yet been established. The identities are further confused by the fact that one of the pair carries the number 2196 but 2196 is believed to be the PMVY at Folkestone Harbour station (qv). P 1976. OOU in Up sidings at Ropley. Very sorry state by 07/08 - including much wastage to ironwork. Scrapping seems likely. However, still extant when seen 05/13 in Meon siding at Ropley. 05/18: moved to Railway Retreats accommodation site adjacent to the Kent & East Sussex Railway station at Northiam (but not connected with that Railway).
