The GER underframe was acquired in 1977 and shortened to suit the body of Taff Vale 203 (qv) by Marcroft Engineering, Radstock in 1978. 2 GER, 2 LNER wheelsets, all with wood centres were transferred to this chassis from another, Army 82.648. No other known information. Moved with body to Butetown Industry & Maritime Museum 1978. Moved to storage at Queen Alexandra Dock, Cardiff in 1991, then to Swansea and finally to National Museums and Galleries of Wales Collection Store, Nantgarw 18/02/2026: moved to East Somerset Railway. |
