Withdrawn 1961 for Eastern Region Mobile Control Train as Control & Apparatus Coach (for use in the event of future hostilities). P 1980, Embsay. Query where built: York and/or Doncaster? To NYMR Spring 2003 where rebuilding plans include access for disabled passengers. 04/17: now sheeted - see additional photo below. 12/20: restoration in progess. 02/21: moved to Ecclesbourne Valley Railway for further restoration work. 07/23: returned to North Yorks Moors Railway - plan is to use it in teak operating set. 04/25: restoration nearing completion: carries the post war LNER number and no lining as carriages would have been outshopped during WW2. Late 2025: restoration complete. |
