Additional Notes 'Birdcage' lookout removed before to IoW 05/1949, when converted from 7 to 4 compartments as a Brake Third (providing greater luggage space). P 1966, at Newport till 1971. Flush side sheeting removed: so back to 1950s rather than 1960s! By 05/05 OOU but operational in Griffen Sidings. 04/11: body removed from original underframe and placed on ex LSWR 752 underframe (qv) for storage (see main photo). 07/15: underframe (see second additional photo below) currently being prepared for shot blasting, which will be followed by extensive underframe repairs. 07/16: underframe with contractor for new headstocks and solebars. 12/18: underframe repairs completed and body refitted. 05/19: completed vehicle re-entered service. 06/26: in Train Story.
