5-BEL. 750 v 3rd rail. Car B. Restored Swindon 1972 for Storefitters CIL Ltd: beside Finsbury Park Station. Much original material remains. Bluebell 04/06: requires overhaul and modification before use on trains: available for static hospitality. 08/15: stored in sidings behind Horsted Keynes station - see Steve West's photo below. By 12/15: to Barrow Hill for the 5BEL Trust - to form part of the 5-car 'Brighton Belle' (5-BEL) set - in exchange for Pullman BRS 307 'Carina' (qv). By 06/16: with W H Davis Ltd at Langwith Junction for completion of restoration before return to Barrow Hill. 12/17: following major work on the steelwork earlier in 2017, final stages of interior fitout are under way. 11/19: moved to Crewe LNWR Heritage site for electrical testing and final fitting out prior to being moved to Eastleigh. |
