Type D. P 1979 privately, on West Somerset Railway until 1983, then Severn Valley Railway. Sold to GS&WR 1989 and rebuilt as sleeper for new Royal Scotsman service. Craigentinny, Millerhill, Carlisle Upperby, then Euston. Ownership transferred to the Belmond Group early 2014. As at 02/15: in The Royal Scotsman Set BT55 based Carnforth, operationally based at Edinburgh Craigentinny (Summer only). 11/17: now in Set EC00, operationally based at Edinburgh Craigentinny (Summer only), with Winter maintenance by Arlington Fleet Services Limited at Eastleigh Works. 2019: now based at Assenta Rail, Earnock Sidings / E.G.Steele site, Hamilton. 04/25: in operational Royal Scotsman set for 2025. |
