P 1981, at Carnforth till sold ?, part of Pullman Lodge Hotel at Ocean Park, Seaburn, near Sunderland, with Pullmans 43, 99, 102. Only half of chassis extant. Interior gutted to make Bar. Inside side modified, 'Pullman' livery. Outside side poor. The by then derelict property purchased by Sunderland City Council 08/12 and advertised by them as to let. Hotel reopened as 'Pullman Hotel, Bar and Restaurant' in 2013 after major refurbishment, this including the three Pullmans. 11/16: Sunderland City Council, owners of the freehold of the site, advise that the whole complex site is now closed and will be redeveloped in early 2017. By 03/17: remains on site but partly broken up. 02/18: confirmed that this vehicle has now been completely scrapped and the site has been demolished. |
