Only a few original parts of this vehicle remained - see Kevin Stroud's photo of 08/09, below. Replacement underframe and running gear were required. Vehicle was reconstructed at Great Yeldham using components from the original. Good progress reported 05/14: new chassis and bogies completed, with body framing nearing completion. Intention was to return completed coach to Woody Bay by the end of 2014. Certainly there by 09/15. Replica of original Lynton and Barnstaple coach No. 11 constructed at Great Yeldham workshop. 2015: in service as part of the 'Vintage Train'. 11/16: seen at Woody Bay. |
