Additional Notes At Casterton from 1981 until to 71000 Loco Trust at Loughborough, 1987: re-bogied at Loughborough. Asbestos internally stripped 1997 (?); but asbestos tape noted still on undercar pressure ventilation ducting. By 07/06: to Mid Hants Railway. Heavily graffiti-ed, poor condition. By 12/13: to West Coast Railway Company at Carnforth. 08/18: confirmed still at Carnforth: now an empty shell but on B4 bogies. By 10/19: completely stripped and gutted, including remaining asbestos material; underframe cleaned/shot blasted; still on B4 bogies; under cover and in line for refurbishment. 08/22: now in red oxide primer but no further restoration work yet. 04/24: ownership transferred to the Great Scottish and Western Railway Company, ready for vehicle to be rebuilt as another addition to The Royal Scotsman fleet; this work will likely be undertaken at Assenta Rail, Earnock Sidings / E.G.Steele site, Hamilton, the vehicle's current location. 31/03/25: entered traffic as the new State Car No 4 in Belmond Royal Scotsman livery; internal layout is now two Grand Suites and a mid-car double cabin; EG Steel site / Assenta Rail Hamilton is home base with Edinburgh Craigentinny being the summer operational base.
