Additional Notes One of the nine former Northern Ireland Railways 'Gatwick' vehicles acquired by RPSI 01/15. This one Derby-built for BR 1974. Later used as 'Gatwick Express' vehicle, after which regauged to 5ft 3in and to NIR as 8941. Semi-permanently coupled to 8942. Last in traffic 09/08. Uncertain whether this acquisition is for traffic or for spares - if for traffic will need extensive work and air brake system converted to vacuum. With 8942 to Whitehead 02/15. The nine vehicles carry NIR numbers 8911 and 8941 to 8948 inclusive. By 03/16: in store at Dundalk. 02/23: cut in half on site and then removed by Thomas Hamil and Sons, Ahoghill, Ballymena.
