Additional Notes Query date. Body (on its u/f) was grounded at Newport Maltings until P 1970 South Cambridgeshire Railway, Heydon. Some seating remains, also an original '3' on one door. Used as mess vehicle for 'Newcastle' (MW 0-6-0ST), which was also on site. By 01/13: moved to 'Rocks by Rail' (was Rutland Railway Museum) with intention to restore to running order. However, following the then owner's untimely death, 05/18 sold to Friends of the Leiston Railway and moved to Theberton, near Leiston 18/05/18. The body has been reasonably well preserved by the existence of a corrugated iron roof overlay dating back several years. Proposal is to refurbish the body and mount it onto BR brake van chassis B954171. Located at the workshops of Leiston Works Railway Trust, Theberton, near Leiston (along with a GER 6 compartment body - qv).
